Microblading Myths vs. Facts
Eyebrow microblading is the art of creating fuller thicker eyebrows through the use if a manual tattooing technique. The process involves the application of detailed, fine lines on the eyebrow area that effectively mimic the natural color and fine hairs that form the eyebrow. First, a series ultra fine needles is used to make fine, microstroking incisions on the skin in a shape and form that has been predetermined by the microblading specialist and the client. Next, pigment is placed on the area that effectively soaks into the tiny incisions.
Microblading Is Not A Tattoo…..
Anytime a pigment or ink is implanted into the dermal layer of the skin it is a tattoo process. With that being said there are some differences between permanent makeup and traditional tattoos.
Traditional tattoos are usually created with a machine tool and implanted with an ink designed to remain in the skin permanently. These inks are deposited in the lower layers of the dermis which may also reach the hypodermis. Because traditional tattoos are implanted into the deeper layers of skin people often say that they are considered more painful than permanent cosmetics.
Professional permanent cosmetic pigments are formulated to react to sun exposure. To achieve different browns for example we need to mix different ratios of reds, greens and yellows. Each color and shade is carefully selected based on your skin color, shade and undertone. This prevents the color from fading to a blue or green over time.
A Blade Must Be Used…
It is called microblading so it stands to reason that a blade is used. But nope, we don’t use a blade to implant pigment. The microblade hand tool is a series of several tiny needles configured like a brush to allow precise stroke placement. Each hand tool is designed for single use and is disposed of in a sharps container.
Beauty is when you can appreciate yourself. When you love yourself, that’s when you’re most beautiful
If the tattoo’s so great, why not get it done permanently? Well permanent eyebrow tattoo may become discolored overtime giving your eyebrows a color that may fall into a blueish to greenish shade. Also, with semi-permanent, you’re not out of luck if your brow shape is totally “out” because reshaping is always possible.
